Troy Mayor Compares Homosexual Lifestyle to Cigarette Smoking

Troy Mayor Janice Daniels, who first came under fire in December for making an anti-gay comment on Facebook, is facing further criticism this week after she compared the dangers of the homosexual lifestyle to the dangers of cigarette smoking Wednesday during a radio interview. "What I said while I was mayor ... I was in a business meeting, I come from a business perspective ... I said that I would bring a doctor into a meeting that would say that the homosexual lifestyle is dangerous," Daniels told Talk Radio 1270 host Charlie Langton, according to CBS. I just don't see where that has anything to do with being the mayor of a suburb. Is she saying that she doesn't want them in Troy? Is she picking and choosing those that are worthy of living in Troy? I see all kinds of lifestyles I would not choose for myself. It's just that when YOU decide how other people should live their lives, it sounds like YOU have a problem, not them.   more ›
