'Step Up to the Plate' to Dine Cheap, Raise Money for Troy Schools
The Troy school that collects the most receipts from participating "Step Up to the Plate" restaurants will receive $1,000.
"Step Up to the Plate" – a partnership between Troy Chamber of Commerce member restaurants and the Troy School District (TSD) – will offer diners 20 percent off their food purchases if they bring in a “Step Up to the Plate” promotional piece (school flyer, newspaper ad, email or other communication about the program) to participating restaurants between Feb. 26 and March 1. “This is a home run for all of Troy,” Troy Chamber President Michele Hodges said. “It’s a great way to support TSD schools and area restaurants while getting a discount for something we all like to do anyway — dine out!” Diners may then turn in their receipts to the TSD school of their choice.
