Area residents don’t have far to travel in order to see a magnificent display of more than 36,000 tulips, which are all starting to bloom at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy. To celebrate the tulips – and spring, in general – White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery is hosting a tulip-themed photo contest beginning on Monday, April 9 and running through the end of tulip season. "Our annual display of tulips goes back many years,” David R. Krall, vice president of White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, said in a press release. “All of our tulips are imported straight from Holland.
