A wind chill advisory is in effect for Oakland County and much of southeast Michigan, the National Weather Service announced Monday evening. UPDATE: As of 3:30 p.m., power has been restored to all affected Troy customers; there are no additional outages this time, according to the DTE Energy outage map. More than 350 Troy residences in the neighborhood north of Long Lake Road and east of Rochester Road lost power late Monday morning as winds began to pick up in the area. Those homes are expected to regain power between 3 and 5 p.m., according to DTE Energy. Though a wind advisory has not yet been issued, the National Weather Service is predicting sustained northern winds around 26 m.p.h. with gusts as high as 40 m.p.h.
